Development in State halted due to graft, misrule

Congress election in-charge Mukul Wasnik, who reached here on Wednesday, said that the development of the state has been halted because of corruption and misrule.

Discussing with some journalists, Wasnik said that naxalite and Maoist incidents have been increased in the State due to corruption and misrule in the Government machinery. The increase in the assets of the Chief Minister and Ministers shows that they were involved in corruption, he added.

Replying to a question, the Congress general secretary said that after forming Congress Government, the MlAs would elect its leader. Wasnik met the State office-bearers. He also visited the indoor stadium and reviewed the preparations for the Prime Minister’s arrival. National president of the Congress, Sonia Gandhi will be reaching Kondagaon on November 7. She would address public meetings there.

Wasnik sought information from the State office-bearers about the preparations for the meetings of Sonia Gandhi. He also asked them about the meetings of Rahul Gandhi on November 8 and discussed about the situation in the Assembly constituencies, where polling would be held at the first phase.
