Schemes will be implemented in these model villages, with the coordination of departments. Singh directed to construct separate toilets for boy and girl students at all girls’ and boys’ schools, Ashram hostels and to complete electrification works in all schools and Aanganwadi centres within three months. Where there is a problem in bringing power line, electrification work should be completed through solar energy system, he added.

He said, along with complete sanitation in each village, pure drinking water should be made available and regular testing of water sources be done. The Chief Minister directed to provide special attention to the quality of training being imparted under the skill upgradation programme. Expressing displeasure on the low percentage of attendance of children in schools in comparison to their registered number, he said to take action to ensure attendance of all the registered children.

Setting a target for distribution of uniform, Singh said that school uniform should be distributed to all children by August 30. The Chief Minister asked the collector to check the quality of fresh food, ready-to-eat meals being given at Aanganwadi Centres and Mid-day meals in schools by himself. He also directed to provide relief to the disaster affected people with promptness. The Chief Minister also told the collector to regularly get checked purification of drinking water sources, storage centres and pipelines in urban areas in the district.
