The District Election Office here has called for expenditure details from various political parties on the expenses incurred on poll tour of their star campaigners during the Assembly polls in the district.
The expenditure details demanded include the use of helicopter besides cost incurred in holding of public meetings of star campaigners. The details are to be submitted by the political parties by Friday (November 29) with the Expenditure Branch of the District Election Office.
The District Election Office has communicated to the political parties that if the political agent or the candidate had travelled with the star campaigner in the helicopter then half of the expenses for hiring the helicopter for the tour of the star campaigner in the constituency would be paid by the candidate.
It also stated that if the candidate was with the star campaigner in a public meeting or the latter demanded votes in favour of the candidate then the entire expense of the holding of the public meeting would be attached to the account of the candidate.
The Chief Electoral Officer in Chhattisgarh has asked the details on the expenses to be available with him latest by November 30, an official press release here stated.
