Democracy is in danger in Bastar and police atrocities on citizens along with Congress party representatives is at its peak in the region, alleged President of Chhattisgarh Pradesh Congress Committee (CGPCC) Bhupesh Baghel here on Wednesday.
Advocates and political leaders are being threatened and women are being tortured in Bastar, he said in an official press statement while adding that rape and atrocities on poor tribal women living in Bijapur, Sukma, Dantewada and Narayanpur districts are becoming commonplace.
