The public representatives attending a meeting chaired by District Collector Rajat Kumar on the issue of new development blocks being planned by State Government suggested not to include many village panchayats in them.
The Collector had invited suggestions from the public representatives attending the meeting on Barpali and Pasan proposed as new development blocks. The Collector later informed those
attending the meeting that their suggestions would be sent to the Commission on re-organisation of development blocks.
The meeting also discussed the issue of the distance of far flung villages from the block headquarters. There was also a discussion on not affecting the Assembly segment while forming new development blocks.
