Delhi Daredevils are looking towards home advantage in Naya Raipur and are expecting a rousing support from the local crowd during their clash with Sunrisers Hyderabad scheduled at Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh International Cricket Stadium here on Friday.
“We have good memories of playing in Naya Raipur which is our second home ground. In Delhi, we won three games and we are looking forward to the home advantage here. Home support will be very vital for us, which we want for tomorrow’s game,” said Praveen Amre, Assistant Coach of Delhi Daredevils during a pre-match conference at the stadium.
In reply to a query about Friday’s match with Hyderabad which is top on points tally, an optimistic Amre said, “They are on top with 16 points, but we had beaten them at their home ground and this is a positive thing for us. We are looking forward for repeating the same kind of game.”
Over ‘not-so-impressive’ batting performance by the team so far in the series, he accepted that the concern was very valid and the team wants to improve it in the next match.
According to Amre, this is for the first time in IPl that points table are such that anybody can come up and every game is crucial. Important is to stay positive and focus on self. He also pointed out that absence of Ashish Nehra could be advantageous for Delhi Daredevils.
