A delegation from Wardha in Maharashtra toured Chhattisgarh on Wednesday to study the functioning of Gauthans being developed as Rural Industrial Centers in the state.
The delegation inspected a Gauthan on Raipur’s outskirts and also the Narva Development Scheme of the Chhattisgarh government in Gariaband district.
The delegation included agriculture scientists, progressive farmers, doctors, teachers, advocates and people from the media.
The study team especially appreciated water conservation work under the Narva Development Scheme and its impact on ground water level.
