The Chhattisgarh Cabinet has endorsed change in definition of family which will now include married daughter in 'Model Rehabilitation Policy 2007' .
This was done hours before announcement of Assembly poll schedule for Chhattisgarh by Election Commission of India on Saturday.
As per the Cabinet decision, the definition of ‘family’ presently existing in the Chhattisgarh State Model Rehabilitation Policy 2007, has been expunged and new definition has given.
As per the new definition of ‘family’ , it would mean, any affected person, his wife or husband, minor children and affected person’s mother, father, widowed sister or unmarried daughter, in case if unmarried daughter does not exist, then married daughter is included.
Earlier, in definition of family, married daughter did not exist.
The Cabinet also endorsed notification issued for reduction of VAT on petrol and diesel in the State.
