Condemning the attack by Pakistani Army personnel on the border outpost on the Indian side on Tuesday, BJP State President Ramsevak Paikra said that separate assessments made by the Army Chief and Defense Ministry on the incident signals grave threat to the security and sovereignty of the country.
The statement of Defence Minister A K Antony in the Parliament that the militants dressed in Pakistani Army uniform attacked the personnel in the Indian outpost is not only objectionable but also needs to be condemned, Paikra said in a statement issued here on Tuesday. He said that neither a single militant was caught in the attack or nor was any evidence found by the Indian Army personnel at the outpost. How did the Defence Minister decided to issue a statement that the militants were dressed in Pakistani Army uniform, Paikra asked.
By giving a statement which is different from Army Chief’s, the Defence Minister is trying to mislead the country. This way the Government has worked towards demoralising the Armed forces, he added.
