In the interest of vehicle owners, the Transport Department has started Dealer Point Registration scheme for registration of vehicles.
Under this programme, vehicle owners are now able to receive registration in a short time with the help of Regional Transport Office (RTO) and dealers, officials stated.
As many as 31737 vehicles owned by women were registered within one year, of which maximum registrations (6036 vehicles) were carried out by Regional Transport Office Durg while minimum (17 vehicles) in Gariaband district transport office, informed Transport Minister Rajesh Munat.
According to him, registration of 2726 vehicles owned by women were carried out in Regional Transport Office Raipur, Bilaspur (3975), Jagdalpur (1978), Ambikapur (4014), Rajnandgaon (2629), Korba (1165), Raigarh (1001), Dhamtari (1623), Mahasamund (656), Kanker (811), Dantewada (759), Kabirdham (158), Janjgir-Champa (996), Koriya (385), Jashpur (819), Balodabazar (522), Bemetara (289), Balod (652), Mungeli (82), Kondagaon (418) and Surajpur (26).
