District Collector Amit Kataria reached Bastar and Bakawand blocks of the insurgency-hit district and carried out inspection of various welfare schemes being implemented in the villages.
At Mundagaon village in Bastar block, the Collector carried out inspection of girl’s Ashram. He observed the solar pump being operated in the Ashram. At Amabala village, Kataria carried out inspection of a fair price shop in the village.
He asked officials to take the samples of Gram for quality check. later on, he reached ‘Ready-to-Eat’ Food Centre being run by women self help group (SHG) and lauded the quality of products made by the SHG.
While inspecting Rajiv Gandhi Information Centre cum Skill Development Centre in Balenga, he was informed that slides and swings in the compound were installed from the royalty gained through minor minerals. An impressive garden was also developed at the Information Centre.
