The Dantewada District Administration will be developing and implementing strategic solutions for farm produce marketing in the district soon, officials informed.
The successful bidder in the tendering process would be asked to develop affordable and scalable strategy that shall cater to the needs of the farmers in the entire district.
The strategy would establish direct trade linkages with wholesalers, retailers and customers by avoiding middlemen. Notably, the farmers of insurgency-infested Dantewada district in Bastar division last year had floated their own firm to market and sell organic rice.
About 1200 farmers engaged in organic farming in Dantewada district produce and market organic products have formed a firm by the name of ‘ Bhoomgaadhi’ .It is pertinent to right here that this will benefit business community a lot.
