National-level Quality Reviewer of roads being constructed under ‘Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana’ will take up an extensive tour of insurgency-hit Dantewada and Bijapur districts next month to carry out quality checks of roads under construction under the project.
As per the information received from the State-level Quality Co-ordinator of Rural Roads Development Authority in Raipur, the National-level Quality Reviewer Pramod Kumar would be taking up the tour in the two Bastar districts next month, according to an official press release issued here on Friday. State PWD Minister Rajesh Munat incidentally took up an extensive tour of Bastar region to take stock of the condition of roads maintained by National Highway Authority of India (NHAI).
The Minister expressed displeasure over the bad condition of roads while carrying out personal inspection at certain sections of roads passing through insurgency infested Jagdalpur and Sukma districts.
