The Chhattisgarh government on Tuesday organized a cycle rally in Raipur to spread nutritional awareness among people under the Nutrition Awareness Drive (Poshan Jagrukta Abhiyan).
Women and Child Welfare Minister Anila Bhedia led the rally, which started from Marine Drive in Telibandha. Scores of Raipurians took part, an official statement said.
The rally passed through various places before culminating at the starting point.
Bhedia also flagged off the Poshan Jagrukta Rath on the occasion and administered oath to people to achieve a malnutrition free society.
The campaign was launched in 2018 by the Centre to emphasize the nutritional status of children aged up to 6 years, adolescents, pregnant women and lactating mothers. It is held every September.
