The Jyoti Kalash can be ignited only at a designated place in the temple premises, with fire-fighting protection, during the upcoming Navratri festival that starts from October 17, it was announced on Friday.

Violation of the rules will lead to legal action against the temple management, the Raipur district administration warned.

Entry of devotees and others for Jyoti Kalash darshan will be strictly prohibited.

Only the temple management committee will be allowed to ignite the Jyoti Kalash, the order said.

All the guidelines issued by the Central and state government must be followed in order to curb the spread of coronavirus, it added.

Strict action will be taken under Section 188 of the Indian Penal Code and the Epidemic Act if the instructions are violated by the temple management committee.
