With installation of 132/22 KV power sub-station in Bilaspur’s Koni region, the Chhattisgarh State Power Transmission Company limited (CSPTCl) has taken a significant leap in the direction of augmenting power transmission infrastructure in the State.
Notably, the 92nd sub station and 16 kms long transmission (132 kv) installed with the expenditure of around Rs 20 crore was successfully energized at Koni .“Following the directives of Chief Minister Raman Singh, special efforts are being made for development of power supply infrastructure in Chhattisgarh. Moreover, the company is installing high-pressure sub stations and extending transmission line for supplying power across Chhattisgarh,” said CSPTCl Managing Director Vijay Singh.
The company has energized Koni-based 132/33 kv sub station with an investment of around Rs 12 crore and 16 km long transmission line (132 kv) worth Rs 8 crore, he said.
According to him, only 20 sub stations with capacity of 132/33 kv were existing at the time of Chhattisgarh’s formation which has reached 92 now with the setting up of a sub station in Koni. The development will address the problem of low-voltage in the region.
