Chhattisgarh Chief Secretary Amitabh Jain on Thursday directed officials to speed up the vaccination in the state and ensure that Covid appropriate behavior is followed in public places.
While chairing an online meeting from the Secretariat Mahanadi Bhawan, he also inquired about the situation of ICUs and HDUs in dedicated Covid hospitals across the state.
Jain said that rules should be strictly followed in the containment zones.
“In public places, people should use a mask. Those not using it should be fined Rs 500,” he said.
He also directed officials to keep eye on Covid infection in the districts bordering the state.
