Chhattisgarh's new Chief Secretary Amitabh Jain has asked officials to do a survey and identifying priority groups for Covid-19 vaccination.
Jain chaired the first meeting of the Steering Committee set up for overlooking the Covid vaccines administration in Chhattisgarh on Thursday, a press release said.
Additional Chief Secretary Health and Family Welfare Renu Pillai during the virtual meeting gave a detailed presentation over the initial preparations in place for Covid vaccination.
For keeping the Covid vaccines safe, the Chief Secretary asked officials to identify cold chain points across the state and intimate the electricity department to ensure uninterrupted power supply.
For dealing with side effects of Covid vaccination, Jain called for a state level control room where specialists will be in regular touch with districts.
The Urban Administration department has been instructed to keep the vicinity of vaccination centres clean and infection free.
The officials have also been asked to ensure safe disposal of bio-waste (syringe, needle and used cotton).
