The objective of organising medical camp in the remote area of insurgency-hit district is to gain public confidence and develop good bonding between security personnel and locals, said Kondagaon Superintendent of Police (SP) J S Vetti.
Although, red movement has severely affected development in the region, but with extensive efforts of police and security forces the region will once again connect with development, said Vetti, adding that local support is necessary for combating Naxalism in the region.
In the meantime, few surrendered Naxals have also shared their experience and assistance being provided by the State Government under surrender cum rehabilitation policy after quitting the banned Maoist organisation. Besides, surrendered Naxals also appealed others to lay down arms and join mainstream of the society.
