A head constable of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) shot himself dead with his service rifle in Sukma on Monday, police said.
According to Preliminary police investigation the Head Constable committed suicide by shooting himself with his assault service rifle at Penta-based CRPF camp under Dornapal police station at around 10:30 am. Superintendent of Police (ASP) Santosh Singh informed that the deceased Head Constable has been identified as Ram Prakash Singh, a native of Rajasthan, who belonged to 150th battalion of CRPF.
Police have registered a case in this connection and started investigation to ascertain the reason of suicide, Singh said.
