Chhattisgarh Rural Housing Corporation ltd (CRHCl) has sought loan amount for its first year project cost of Rs 1900 crore for implementation of Pradhan Mantri Aawas Yojna (Gramin) (PMAY) (G) from various banks and financial institutions, official sources informed.
The loan will be based on the agreement/ guarantee of the State Government, they informed.
CRHCl has been constituted with an aim to provide financial support for construction of rural houses and infrastructure.
The Government has put a condition that no penalty shall be imposed in case of prepayment of the loan amount.
District Mineral Fund will be available for repayment of loan under PMAY-G, sources informed.
Notably, as on March 31, 2018 against a total target of 43,92,75 rural houses to be constructed (2016-17 & 2017-18), 3,19,366 houses have been completed in the State .
PMAY (G) has been under implementation since 2016. The programme implementation is monitored through IT platform.
The programme has exhaustive online monitoring system.
