Despite a rise in Covid-19 cases in Kerala, Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh and some other states, Chhattisgarh's positivity rate has fallen to 0.19 percent and no cases were reported on Wednesday in six of the districts. According to an official statement on Thursday, the districts where no fresh cases were reported include Balod, Bemetara, Gariaband, Gaurella-Pendra-Marwahi, Surajpur and Narayanpur.
None of the districts in the state had a positivity rate more than 1 percent, the statement said. As there is a fall in the number of new cases and because more patients are recovering daily, the active cases in Chhattisgarh have declined to 1,557.
