Covid-19 warriors will be specially invited to the main Independence Day event here on August 15 where Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel will unfurl the national flag under strict Covid protocol -- which will be followed all across Chhattisgarh.
The Covid-19 warriors -- doctors, police personnel, health and sanitary workers -- will get special invitation in view of the leading role they played in combating the deadly virus. All of them will wear masks and keep social distance.
On Wednesday, the General Administration Department (GAD) asked everyone to strictly , adhere to Covid protocol and also curtail the events.
At the place where the, Chief Minister will unfurl the Indian flag and address the people, police and para-military contingents will give a Guard of Honour.
Similarly, in the districts, the chief guest will unfurl the flag while police and Home Guards will give a Guard of Honour.
No public programmes will be organized at Janpad Panchayat/Tehsil level where Janpad Panchayat chairman and urban bodies chairman will unfurl the national flag.
The main functions in Raipur will be held at 9.00 AM. Keeping this in view, all government offices will unfurl the national flag before 9.00 am so that employees can take part in the main function.
