Covid-19 survivors thank doctors, to donate blood plasma

Two people, including a policeman, from Raipur who defeated coronavirus here have come forward to donate their blood plasma for Covid research and treatment, officials said on Friday.

Both were admitted in the Covid Hospital Mana Raipur after testing coronavirus positive.

“I cannot forget the service of doctors and medical teams in those perilous times. Their spirit in the face of danger of getting infection is worth applauding. No one has seen god, but it seems He must be like people behind the PPE suits,” said Vikarant Pandey, who was discharged on August 6, in an official press release.

Pandey is an Assistant Manager in a private company and was admitted on July 29.

"From the very first day my treatment and care were excellent. The hospital had a very positive environment and everyone on duty including officers, medical staff and cleaning staff was giving their best," Pandey was quoted as saying.

Inspector Yadumani Sidar, who was posted at the Maudhapara police station, was admitted on July 19.

“I got scared when I came to know that I was Covid positive. I had no Covid symptoms... In the hospital I found a very positive environment. Later, my friends and doctors boosted my morale,” Sidar said in the press release.

The struggle to beat corona is not a good experience for anyone but the experience, service and good treatment I got in the hospital will remain etched in my memory for life, he added.

Sidar, now in Home Isolation, is looking forward to rejoining duty.
