Five more Covid-19 positive cases were detected in Chhattisgarh on Tuesday. Four of them are from Rajnandgaon while one is from Korba. This has taken the tally of active cases in the State to 41.
The State Control and Command Centre for Covid-19 said in a statement that the process was on to admit the patients to the Medical College Hospital Rajnandgaon and to the Bilaspur Covid Hospital.
There has been a sudden spike in coronavirus cases in Chhattisgarh in recent days.
Twenty-five persons tested positive for the pandemic on Sunday and three on Monday.
Most of them are migrant workers who had returned to Chhattisgarh or those who came in close contact with them.
