Aman and his wife were injured after the car in which they were travelling turned turtle after hitting acrater formed on the express-way in Telibandha on Thursday. Notably, the 12-km-long expressway that connects Fafadih to Atal Nagar Nava Raipur was constructed at the cost of Rs 313 crore during the BJP regime.
The official inauguration of expressway is yet to be done. According to the witness,the speeding car after hitting the pit on the road skidded about 100 meters before coming to a grinding halt.
The victims, identified as Abhinav Shukla (33) and his wife, were on-way to their home in Mahavir Nagar from Railway station when the accident happened.
After the incident Shukla somehow managed to came out of car and informed police by dialing emergency number ‘112’. After police reached the spot, they were rushed to nearby hospital.
According to police the condition of victims was stable. Ruling Congress party has alleged serious corruption in the entire project as it couldnot withstand two- day downpour.
