A couple and their 12-year-old son were charred to death after their thatched hut caught fire, police said on Monday.
The incident took place in Nagadabra village in Kukdur area, Kabirdham Superintendent of Police Abhishek Pallava said.
The remains of Budhram Baiga (35), his wife Hiramatin (32) and son Janhu were found from their gutted house.
The locals told the police that the family returned at around 12 pm on Sunday night after attending a marriage. The villagers learnt about the incident on Monday morning.
Prima facie, it seems the hut caught fire due to a LPG cylinder.
