Four leaders of the BJP including representative of MP Dinesh Kashyap allegedly tried to run their vehicle over Sub Divisional Magistrate Kartikeyan Goel who was checking vehicles. Goel, somehow
managed to save his life, the BJP leaders fled the spot. later, Goel lodged a report in police against the aggressors and also submitted video recording clips of the incident. He also lodged a complaint with the District Election Officer. Though, the police have registered a case against all the four leaders of BJP, no arrest has been made so far in the case. According to reports, on November 9, Goel was checking vehicles on Edka Road during which MP Representative Brijmohan Devangan, corporator of Ashram Ward no 11 Manoj Chalki and DNK ward Corporator Maransheel, BJP leader Sudeep Jha and others reached there and told the SDM that some Congress workers had made BJP workers captive at Gadh Bengal. Then the SDM asked
them to lodge the complaint with district administration, the BJP leaders got enraged and started abusing him. They also tried to knock down Goel by running their vehicle over him. However, subordinates of the SDM saved his life somehow from being trampled, the BJP leaders managed to flee from there and are absconding.
