Providing a new turn to the Mahavir Nagar shootout case, the family members of deceased Rajiv Juneja alleged that police had still not registered a case of murder against the prime accused Mukesh Shrivastav even though Rajiv Juneja died. The allegations were levelled by Sanjeev Juneja, the brother of Rajiv Juneja while talking with media persons on Sunday.

Notably Rajiv Juneja, a real estate agent and resident of Mahavir Nagar, was shot down by his business associate Mukesh Shrivastav on July 11 last year at his residence.

Some financial dispute of about Rs 20-25 lakh between victim and accused was the reason for the shoot out. After the shoot out, Rajiv battled for his life for about 11 months in a city hospital and succumbed due to septicaemia which led to multiple organ failure, Sanjeev Juneja said. Mukesh Shirvastav is presently behind the bars.

Sanjeev Juneja alleged the even though his brother died due to bullet injuries,  police was never able to find  the empty shell of bullet fired. The Police, till date, has not registered case of murder against Mukesh, Sanjeev claimed. Sanjeev demanded making brother of Mukesh as co-accused in the case because Mukesh’s brother had the licence of gun used in the murder.
