The ASP talking with The Pioneer informed that search started around 4 pm and lasted till 6.30 pm. “During this two-and-half hour long thorough search we found only few pouch of tobacco from few prisoner and nothing else was found in their possession,” the ASP said. City Superintend of Police Kotwali (CSP) CSP Civil lines, CSP Azad Chowk and DSP headquarters were also the part of team conducting search operation. The ASP also informed that Central Jail has multi level security system and the hole in wall could not breach the security of jail.

Notably two holes were spotted in the wall of Raipur Central facing Pandri bus stand on Saturday morning. After the holes were discovered the fretted administration stepped up the security cover in around the jail. Raipur Central is considered as the safest Jail of the State where hardcore criminals including  wanted Maoists have been held and hole in the wall of jail has raised serious question over the security of the jail.
