Collector Jai Prakash Maurya in Chhattisgarh's Dhamtari district has said that control rooms set up at the Panchayat level to contain Covid-19 will remain in place till August.

Maurya told district officials that the danger of the pandemic has not ended and there is an utmost need to follow the Covid appropriate behaviour, an official statement said on Wednesday.

The control rooms in villages should continue to test the infection on suspected and symptomatic persons so that the infection can be contained, he said.

The Collector also told the Chief Medical and Health Officer (CMHO) to arrange for antibody tests of government officials who have taken anti-Covid vaccine.
