Agriculture Minister Ravindra Choubey on Friday instructed officials of his department to constitute a special cell to address complaints of farmers, if any, over sub standard seeds and fertilizers provided to them in this Kharif season.
Choubey gave the instruction at a review meeting of the department held here at Sheonath Bhawan.
He told the officials to constitute such cells in offices of every deputy directors in agriculture department.
It was informed in the meeting that seeds and fertilizers in adequate quantity have been made available at the cooperative societies across the state. He instructed the officers to ensure that seeds and fertilizers are timely made available to the farmers this Kharif season.
The minister warned of stern action in case laxity was found in distribution of seed and fertilizers to the farmers.
