Constable Netam cremated with full state honours

The body of Constable Rajman Netam who was killed in the Naxal ambush on Saturday was laid to rest with full state honours at his hometown Malakot in the district on Monday. When the body of the constable wrapped in Tri-colour was taken to the funeral ground by his father ludru Netam and other family members, friends and neighbours bade a tearful adieu to him.

The irked father of the late Constable blasted the Government for the delay in sending the bodies of the martyred security personnel. “How will anyone send their young sons to the force for fighting against the Maoist rebels when the Government takes two days to carry the bodies to their families”, he decried.

He also wanted the Government to launch a fight to finish battle against the rebels rather than making announcements on curbing the Naxal-menace in the State. A large number of local people from surrounding village who joined the funeral procession raised slogans against the outlaws such as “Naxalwad murdabaad” and paid tributes to the departed soul saying “Rajman amar rahe”.
