Cong's communal face has come to fore: Yadav

Published on:

Condemning the alleged attempt by Congress chief Sonia Gandhi to seek the help of Syed Ahmed Bukhari, the Shahi Imam of Jama Masjid in Delhi, for securing Muslim votes, MP Madhusudan Yadav said here on Saturday that the communal and ignominious face of the party has now come to the fore.

He said that the Congress, after the withdrawal of the British, governed the country setting Hindus against Muslims by following the 'divide and rule' policy during its 60-year history. But now the country has awakened.

The people are well aware of their responsibility and better know the present situation of the country. They also know the evil intention of the Congress, he added.

He asked why the Cobrapost publishes report at the time of election only. Why the Congress wants to polarise votes in its favour, by showing the Babri Masjid and Godhra incident as ghost of electionIJ  Now the Congress has been seen as an awkward blot in the political scenario of the country, he added.

The MP said that Hindus and Muslims should live as Ram-Rahim pair, which had given significant contributions in freeing the country from the British rule.

The Congress never had made efforts to bring social harmony between the two communities, and only worked for distancing them for achieving its political gains.

Yadav asked that what the Congress has done for the Muslims. Why the people of the community are deprived of even primary educationIJ Their living standard has not been changed. The Congress used the minorities as its vote bank. However, the BJP is marching forward with all-round thought and development, he added.

The Congress party, while seeing its weak position, is making unsuccessful efforts to remain in power by inciting the feelings of the minorities. However, the people of the minorities have better understood the move of the Congress and vowed to move with the BJP’s development programme.
