Former Chief Minister Ajit Jogi reacting over the decision of a local court in MlA purchasing case said that court has ordered to investigate role of Virendra Pandey. If the court wants that role of Virendra Pandey should be investigated then CBI will do its work and present the report, Jogi stated while addressing a press conference here on Thursday.

Wheel chair bound former Chief Minister Ajit Jogi detailing the court order said “Court has ordered to investigate the role Virendra Pandey in the case. It is yet to be known that had Virendra Pandey tried to tape the phones through land line phones and if yes, had he got legal permission to do soIJ and if he did not had the permission then what is its legal veracityIJ,” Jogi citing the amendments made in Section 173 of Indian Penal Code (IPC) he said if the court wants that role of Virendra Pandey should be investigated then CBI will do its work and present the report.

Notably former chairman of Finance Commission Virendra Pandey had opposed the closure report submitted by CBI in the case.

Ajit Jogi who was also the convener of state election campaign committee dogged the question about chief minister candidate in Chhattisgarh after Congress comes to power and claimed that Congress will win the elections with huge margin this time.

Replying to the question about free and fair election in Bastar, Jogi said Election Commission this time has made all possible efforts to avoid rigging of polling booths and fake voting in Bastar region. “I think security was the one of the major reason for increased voting percentage in Tribal areas. Rigging of booth was practiced in 2003 and 2008 election because of which we had to lose lost election,” said Jogi.

He further detailed that most of the polling stations that were relocated witnessed nil voting it means bogus voting was prevented. “The other reason was that in last election Maoists had threatened to amputate body parts if anyone participated in voting but nothing of that kind actually happened so this factor also boosted their (Tribal people) moral. Above all urge for change also pulled voters out of their homes,” expressed Jogi.
