The Congress in Chhattisgarh on Sunday commenced the Bharat Jodo Yatra in the state to mark the birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi. It will continue till Congress leader Rahul Gandhi ends his march in Kashmir.
Tribute was paid to Mahatma Gandhi on his birth anniversary at Rajiv Bhawan here. The Yatra then began from all 307 block headquarters across the state.
PCC chief Mohan Markam led the marcha in Kondagaon. In Raipur it was led by Raipur Rural MLA Satyanarayan Sharma.
A Congress spokesperson said the march will be taken out from now onwards from all the block headquarters in sequence.
