Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) general secretary Shailesh Nitin Trivedi on Friday asked Chhattisgarh’s BJP Government to issue advertisement for filling up nearly 42,000 vacant posts of teachers across the State.
Trivedi slammed Government for outsourcing teachers in the State and said the Government’s move is ‘unethical’, as it has denied thousands of unemployed youths of Chhattisgarh from employment.
He claimed that if the Government is eager to fulfill the 42,000 vacant teaching posts, advertisements should be published in the local newspapers and the recruitment must be done accordingly by inviting applications from aspirants.
He said for past 12 years no advertisements related to the recruitment of teachers have been published here. Moreover, the hiring process is on halt for last two years.
Drawing attention towards the different statements of Chief Minister Raman Singh and his cabinet colleagues on the issue, Trivedi said, “On one hand two Ministers claimed that such advertisements were published 13 times in the newspapers, whereas on the other hand, CM says it was done around eight times.’’
“No one has ever noticed the advertisement in the newspapers regarding recruitment for teachers in the State,” said Trivedi.
He cited the recent suicides of some youths due to unemployment, Trivedi felt the BJP led State Government is following illegal methods in the tender process regarding the outsourcing of teachers.
