Charging that ruling Congress was unnecessarily raking up the issue of Gandhi verses Godse, state BJP on Wednesday alleged that it had put posters humiliating Union Minister Amit Shah and National Spokesperson Sambit Patra.
The BJP leaders under leadership of their State Spokesperson Sanjay Shrivastava also lodged a complaint at Civil Lines police station against the posters put at Ambedkar Chowk.
Shrivastava in a statement charged that the Congress was behind the controversial posters at Ambedkar Chowk and termed the alleged act cowardice.
When the entire nation is “assimilating the ideology of Gandhiji” and the BJP-led Union government adopting his philosophy had framed and initiated a host of welfare works, Congress on the other hand is trying to create controversy over Mahatma Gandhi, he alleged.
