Denouncing the alleged misconduct of Marshals in the Rajya Sabha, Chhattisgarh MPs Chhaya Verma and Phoolodevi Netam sat on a protest at Gandhi Maidan here on Thursday.
They were accompanied by Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel, PCC chief Mohan Markam and Cabinet Ministers. The protest continued despite rains.
On Wednesday, the women MPs alleged that around 40 male Marshals thrashed them in the Upper House of the parliament.
The MPs accused the BJP of lying over the matter and tweaking what had happened to put the blame for the disturbances in the house on the opposition.
The incident happened when the BJP tried to pass the OBC Bill but the opposition sought a discussion on the Pegasus issue, farm laws and price hike.
