Congress hits out at Raman Singh Govt

Chhattisgarh Pradesh Congress president Bhupesh Baghel on Monday hit out at the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and alleged that it failed to provide basic civic amenities across the State.

Addressing a Press conference, he stated that the BJP regime even did not fulfill its polls promise to the farmers of providing `2100 per quintal as minimum support price on paddy procurement and `300 as bonus.

He assured that the Congress, if performs well in the urban bodies’ polls, would certainly restore ration card of poor people whose cards were cancelled in recent months during verification drive. Baghel stressed that Congress would expose BJP’s alleged anti-farmer and anti-people policy. He claimed that Congress would sweep urban bodies polls in the State as the Raman Singh Government has failed to live up to people’s expectations.
