The Congress government has not fulfilled the promises made to the people of Chhattisgarh even after two years in power, BJP General Secretary D. Purandeswari said on Tuesday.
She told the media that while the farmers are distraught, the youth in the state have not received the promised unemployment allowance.
Purandeswari, the party in-charge of Chhattisgarh, along with co-in-charge Nitin Nabin visited the state.
She said the Central government has decided to procure 60 lakh tonnes from Chhattisgarh under the Central pool of rice but the complete paddy procurement from farmers has not been done.
In the last two years, not one industry has been established in the state. More than 500 cases of molestation incidents have been recorded.
Regarding meetings related to the BJP, Purandeswari said after the introduction of leaders and party workers wide ranging interactions were held.
“We are working on a 1,000 days roadmap in the state. We will be working at the booth level. We will open all avenues against the Congress government in the state. The non-fulfilment of the promises will be raised before the public,” she said.
She said the new agriculture laws favour the farmers.
