The Congress on Tuesday denounced BJP’s state in-charge D. Purandeshwari for saying that Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel was addicted to lying and his head will break into 1,000 pieces if he spoke the truth.
She was commenting at a press conference on the promises made by the Congress in its election manifesto.
Congress spokesperson Sushil Anand Shukla strongly objected to the comment and said such a remark made on Baghel's birthday was an insult to entire Chhattisgarh.
"When all of us are praying for his long life, her statement is strongly objectionable," he said.
