Congress flays Governor for delay in okaying quota bills

Published on:

The Congress on Monday criticized Chhattisgarh Governor Anusuiya Uikey alleging a delay in approving the reservation bills.

Congress chief spokesman Sushil Anand Shukla said Uikey's statement that she will consider the bills in March was objectionable.

A deadlock persists in admission and recruitment in the state due to the unnecessary delay by the Governor, Shukla said.

The Congress leader alleged that the BJP was firing at the ruling Congress from the Governor's shoulders.

The action of the Governor shows she was                acting at the behest of the BJP, he said.
