The Congress party has called for a Raipur bandh on Saturday in protest of a local businessman shot dead by an unidentified person near Ramkrishana Care Hospital in the city.
While appealing to the residents of Raipur, Spokesperson State Congress party Sushil Anand Shukla said the bandh’s objective is not to display political strength but to make sure that people are safe in the city.
State Congress General Secretary Shailesh Nitin Trivedi said that law and order situation in the entire State had been deteriorating and the police has failed in controlling crime and criminal activities.
We have written various letters to trade chambers, transport associations, Auto association, Cinema Association and others to support our bandh call, he added.
