Meanwhile, Chhattisgarh Pradesh Congress President Bhupesh Baghel extending support to the families of police personnel said that Congress backs the legitimate demand of police personnel and made the clear announcement that police personnel would get weekly off, 8 hours of work and wage allowances related demands would be met, if Congress forms the government.
He said that all the police personnel terminated including shikshakarmis, anganbadi workers, mitanins would be reinstated along with all the wage allowances and others.
Punia further raised objection over the statement issued by Rajya Sabha MP Saroj Pandey over AICC president Rahul Gandhi.
He said election is nearing so is holding different organisational meetings and discussion is being held on prevailing political scenario. The election committee and screening committee would look into the names forwarded by block and district Congress committee as candidates. National president Rahul Gandhi would take the final decision.
