The Chhattisgarh unit of Congress Party has alleged of massive corruption in the ‘Pilot Prasikshan Yojana’ that was launched a few years back for providing training to ST/SC and OBC youths in the State.

“The State government had signed an agreement with Sai Flightech Aviation Company based in Delhi for providing pilot training to ST/SC and OBC candidates in Chhattisgarh,” said former MlA Mohammed Akbar while addressing a press conference at Party’s State Headquarters Congress Bhawan here on Saturday.

The government in 2008 had signed the agreement according to which for training every youth, Rs 15 lakh would be paid to the company, he said.

According to Akbar, Sai Flightech was also provided permission of setting up of a flying club and using air strip at Bilaspur. The permission was valid for three years.

“The government has failed in divulging the information about the number of pilots trained and where have they been placed,” he alleged.

Mentioning about a similar scheme launched by State government in 2006-07 for providing air hostess training to candidates he questioned that why was not a single girl selected as air hostess. We demand conducting an inquiry into the case, he added.
