PCC President Mohan Markam on Saturday said the Congress will contest the Bhanupratappur by-election on the basis of the development work and implementation of schemes over the past four years.
He was reacting to the announcement of Bhanupratappur assembly by-poll on December 5.
He said the party will also get the benefit of Manoj Mandavi's activism in Bhanupratappur and his connection with voters. People have sympathy for his dedication and commitme to the area.
Markam said after the formation of Congress government, it has worked in all sectors starting from loan waiver to hike in tendu leaves honorarium, forest rights, release of tribal prisoners, release of acquired land in Lohandiguda and more.
He said the development of Bastar includes education, health, industry and business. The people of Bastar had rejected the BJP earlier and will do the same in Bhanupratappur.
