In a bid to apprise the authorities concerned about their various problems, a large number of autorickshaw drivers on Tuesday gheraoed the Traffic Police Station here.
The agitating autorickshaw drivers registered their protest under the banner of Raipur City District Congress Committee.The office-bearers of Auto Federation said that their protest is against illegal extortion, issuing Challan, removing autorickshaw stoppages and stands. Besides, they also demanded from the authorities concerned to provide permanent permit for five years.
On the occasion, Raipur City District Congress Committee president, Vikas Upadhyay along with president of the Autorickshaw Association, Kamal Pandey, Dhananjay Singh, Rajesh Swami, Arman Baig, Suryaprakash Vyas, Asif Ali, Sunil Tiwari among others were present.
