District units of Congress party on Monday staged a day-long sit-in at their respective headquarters demanding reduction of Value Added Tax (VAT) on petrol and diesel.
In Raipur, the sit-in was organised at Gandhi Chowk in which senior leaders of the party including State party president Bhupesh Baghel participated. Meanwhile, addressing the gathering on this occasion, party leaders lambasted ruling BJP Government for not reducing VAT on petrol and diesel even though the Union Finance Minister has issued directives to the State Government.
