Registering strong protest outside the House, Congress party members sat on dharna before the statue of Mahatma Gandhi in the Assembly complex and raised slogan against the Government on Tuesday.
The members were also offended over expunging of their protests from assembly proceedings on Monday. Earlier Chief Minister Dr Raman Singh talking with reporters said: “Seriousness of the House, dignity of the House has been hurt. Coming in House dressed in black with pre determination has broken the seriousness of House.
“All the time they (Congressmen) kept on shouting slogans. If they need answer, they have to sit in assembly. If they need answers then they should ask questions, call attention, adjournment motions the Government is here to give reply our ministers are here to give answers,” the Chief Minister asserted.
He further informed post Darbha Ghati incident we formed judicial commission, the Union Minister of Home formed NIA team which will present its report.
Anything more could not be done in this case, and we have done things very firmly. Commenting over the stand adopted by opposing Dr Raman Singh said, “If they could point out lapses we could discuss it in assembly.
The State assembly is the highest forum for it.” He was of view that protest registered in black outfit is worth condemning. Congress legislator from Ambikapur TS Singhdeo talking with ‘The Pioneer’ while staging protest near the idol of Mahatma Gandhi alleged, “what has happened since Darbha Ghati has been compete violation to the extent that government has done every step to subvert the facts.”
He claimed Government says from Darbha to Tongpal they had deputed 72 jawnas. This is the same route on which CRPF have given report that not one person was posted in the concern 12 kms stretch. He further said we feel that very basis of democracy has been shattered where the opposition has been stifled to the extent that it has not been allowed to reach people. “We are putting forward these facts so that the attention of the people is drawn not towards us but towards the true facts of this incident.”
He claimed that 26 dispatches of intelligence were sent to various levels of Government and these must have reached to the Chief Minister as head of State. What was Chief Minister doingIJ Sitting on this information allowing incident to happenIJ If he was not aware he has no right to be the chief minister, if there was slip, he has no right to be the chief minister, charged Singh Deo.
